Essay Topics:
The following three questions will allow the Admissions Committee to learn more about you. Please answer them concisely, on separate sheets of paper. Each essay should be no more than 500 words in length.

1. Outline your short-term and long-term objectives, your career progression to date, and how the UBC MBA will help you achieve your goals. Why is the UBC MBA a good fit for you at this point in your career?

2. Describe two specific events from your professional life that demonstrate your leadership or teamwork in action. What lessons did you learn through these experiences?

Answer ONE of the following TWO questions:

3. a) Think of an issue that you feel passionate about. Propose a new radio program, website, magazine, or television show that would increase awareness of that issue. Discuss your rationale for the concept including target audience, sponsors,, etc. and explain why you chose the selected medium.

3. b) One of the hallmarks of the UBC MBA is its diversity. Outline one or two events that highlight your experience in dealing with people of diverse cultural, educational, or work backgrounds. What distinctive contributions will you make to the Sauder community?
