An engineer by training, I am an entrepreneur within. Post MBA, I would bring together my analytical skills, experience of problemsolving, objectivity and high motivation to achieve my short term goal. In the current globalization scenario, I would like to take a head on challenge by joining a reputed consulting firm and gradually build my expertise in the area of energy management.My long-term goal is to establish an energy consulting firm in India by harnessing the untapped wind energy. I want to primarily propel ...................................................... Grooming a strong team of seasoned executives and technical specialists, I would offer a unique blend of commercial, technical, environmental and financial expertise to our clients. This firm would provide pragmatic solutions to the world's energy crises. Having acquired functional knowledge in the domain of energy sector, I wish to expand my skills set of business intricacies and international business exposure by pursuing an MBA which would enable me to venture into a role to solve cross-functional business problems.
My knowledge gain in Indian Oil has been enterprising and phenomenal. Posted initially at site office that is responsible for feeding crude oil to India’s major refineries, I learnt to strike a balance at work amidst people from diverse nationalities. I was handling crude oil worth $124 million in each oil tanker, controlling the entire shore staff throughout the discharge period. The task further enhanced my abilities to think quickly and react appropriately and at the right rime. The delicacy of the balance one has to strike on such a post has made me sensitive to the environmental concerns facing our society and the ever increasing demand for energy. My move to the Pipelines division head office further strengthened my skill set as a manger. I was exposed to understanding of the market dynamics, the strategies involved in business development and the financial nitty-gritty of the various projects. Handling a project from the start to the end improved my time management abilities and taught me the supreme importance of coordination among various departments when it comes to success. While I managed projects that involved dealing with state governments and working my way through immeasurable amount of red tape, I mastered the art of getting the work done. I now aim to make my way into un-chartered waters. So far, my professional sojourns have been limited to the techno-managerial domain. An MBA at this juncture will allow a smooth transition from my current profile to my aspired goals.
